ADP is hiring a Sr. Director, Talent Partner

The successful candidate will drive ADP's talent management philosophies and processes to ensure that talent initiatives are aligned to deliver outcomes against defined business strategies. The work focuses on performance acceleration, leader development and team effectiveness, pipeline planning and organizational capability building. You are encouraged to think out of the box to find new solutions or approaches that will make a difference to ADP and your assigned client organizations!

The Talent Partner consults to assigned Business Leaders, HR DVP(s), and HR senior leadership teams to proactively measure and review talent analytics to drive insights and understanding of talent gaps that create risk for the business. The Talent Partner is expected to offer recommendations and implement initiatives to address talent needs that support business growth. The successful talent partner knows key talent, including development needs, aspirations, and potential career pathing; and will apply development tools and methodologies (i.e., assessments, development planning, talent tools and organization development) as needed.

The Talent Partner is a resource and partner with the Development Solutions team on leadership development programming including design and delivery. The successful Talent Partner partners closely with Talent Solutions to influence the design and implementation of enterprise talent tools. Talent Partners focus on educating business leaders and HRBP team members on how to effectively leverage tools and processes to improve leader and team effectiveness. In addition, the role is highly collaborative Talent Acquisition and the office of Diversity and Inclusion.


  • Understand Business Unit strategy and key talent actions or gaps required to achieve outcomes. Drive talent and performance processes for client groups in partnership with HR leadership. Educate HRBP's and line managers in use of Talent and Performance tools and approaches. This may include organizing and implementing specific use of talent tools, communications or meetings to support successful implementation of tools.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness and quality of talent pipelines throughout ADP. Support talent management in the business unit for maximum impact to the overall organization.
  • Know high potential talent and engage in assessment, development, education, placement, and on-going support, particularly those aligned to critical talent pools for the company. Oversee talent development through combinations of assignments, experiences, education and coaching.
  • Actively identify candidates from across ADP to fill openings in their business unit as a means of development. Champions for talent mobility.
  • Support organization to develop systemic responses to talent gaps. Where appropriate, leverage existing programs, processes and other team members to offer solutions. Collaborate with broader GTD team to drive new and unique responses to talent gaps. Successful talent partner is a subject matter expert on the resources, tools & programs available and drives application in assigned client organization.
  • Provide organization development/team effectiveness/change leadership support to business unit where appropriate and in support of talent development/capability initiatives.
  • In addition to business unit responsibilities, may act as a project lead or project member on broader ADP-wide initiatives, e.g., StandOut, Compass, etc.
  • Some travel expected as part of on-going client support and ad-hoc project work.


  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of HRBP experience or learning/leadership development experience, specific talent experience is desired.
  • Advanced degree or course of study related to business management, organization development or related area.
