The Concur Consultant is a designated configuration expert, assigned to assist multiple Concur Travel and Expense Service Administration customers and 3-5 direct and indirect implementation projects for the web-based, online applications of Concur Travel & Concur Travel & Expense or Concur Expense. Complete complicated, multi-national implementations within aggressive timeframes while consistently delivering exceptional levels of work quality and client and agency satisfaction.  A successful individual in this position will manage and maintain customer configurations; adding, editing or removing configurable options as necessary.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Work with clients and agency resources to identify key business requirements and configure the Concur Travel and/or Expense application to meet those requirements

 

• Configure Concur Travel for integration to Concur Travel & Expense, and perform knowledge transfer to the client for effective use of Concur Travel & Concur Travel & Expense

 

• Keep clients, agency resources, and management informed of implementation activities and progress through regular communications, meetings and status reports, and by reporting exceptional circumstances in a timely manner

 

• Pro-actively coordinate and manage tasks and milestones to achieve implementation targeted time frames and ensure department NPS scores and ARR are achieved.

 

• Learn how to execute all types of Concur Travel and/or Concur Expense project implementations

 

• Ensure completion of deliverables, managing schedules and meeting milestones

 

• Gather information from customers, evaluate their needs and create implementation solutions and/or Configuration changes/updates

 

• Manage project status meetings and communicate project status

 

• Maintaining multiple customer environments on an on-going basis

 

• Balance multiple priorities, to be prepared for future events as well as expected changes

 

• Understand the client’s Travel and Expense environment

 

• Manage the expectations of the client by understanding the key business drivers and their prioritization

 

• Provide business acumen and strive to understand the business requirements in order to best configure the system and exceed client expectations 

 

• Gather advanced functional and simple technical business requirements from client with potential translation into a Solution Suggestion according to client needs and scope of Concur products/services

 

• Configure at a macro level as well as specific features and functionality at a module level

 

• Assist in identifying usage gaps to increase adoption levels

 

• Facilitating manual and automated data imports and exports

 

• Creating, Monitoring, Updating and Closing support cases

 

• Ensure completion of deliverables, managing schedules with creative and technical success

 

• Liaison with client team members and Concur internal resources to ensure understanding and clear communications

 

• Consistently communicate project status with Account Management and Consulting management team as needed

 

• Represent the Department on cross-functional teams 

 

• Adhere to Concur SOP’s for escalations as needed

 

• Develop and maintain functional and technical product knowledge

 

• Develop and maintain knowledge of Concur’s implementation and support practices and methodologies

 

• Provide contributions to Concur’s project methodology and document library which includes development of new documents/processes as well as updates to existing documents/processes

 

• Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education, Experience & Training required:

 

• BA/BS or equivalent experience is desired

 

• Previous experience implementing software and/or hosted software applications strongly preferred

 

• Prior travel industry and GDS experience is a highly desirable

 

• Experience with Concur software solutions required

 

• Experience with Travel Management and/or online booking tools highly desirable

 

• Project Management experience is a plus

 

• Management consulting experience is a plus

 

• Software design and configuration experience is a plus

 

• Technical file integration experience is a plus

 

• Consulting in a client facing environment is a plus 

 

• Ability to pass a background check
