Basic Function:

 

Executive leadership role that develops and leads strategy for user design and experience across the ADP Core UX Function (UX Center of Excellence).

 

The successful candidate will drive ADP's push to have the most user friendly products in the industry. He or she will develop strategies and align cross-functional stakeholders to build a consistent experience for our complex product portfolio. The successful candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills directing both functional efforts of UX teams as well as partnering with Product Development and Product Management teams. Demonstrates thought leadership by promoting innovation, new technology and best practices for ADP's new solutions initiatives. Implements and supports the business strategy, manages resources and expenditures. Proactively addresses and mitigates risks with a short to mid-term impact. Acts as senior partner and UX representative with Product Management, Product Development, Field Sales, and Integration organizations in the BUs, as well as ADP senior executives on a regular basis.

 

Scope:

 

Primary responsibilities include conducting user research -- both primary and secondary -- to understand and articulate opportunities to drive improvements and for driving adoption of ADP UX standards across ADP's product portfolio. Responsible for creating compelling user experience design, both visual and interactional, in support of the organization's applications and services across platforms including web and mobile. Works across stakeholder groups and internal and external clients to understand and analyze user needs and translates those needs into usable, valuable and desirable user interface designs and flows. Primary role involves achieving outcomes through leading others, either directly or through a matrixed reporting relationship, and may include managing contracted work (3rd party services/contractors).

Accountable for the output and performance of the team(s), exercising significant influence on how the team members focus their time, conducting frequent communication to discuss expectations and provide feedback and coaching, having a high-degree of participation in formal management responsibilities related to hiring, firing, performance reviews and compensation decisions.

 

Requires management skill, and broad technical expertise and company/industry knowledge. Utilizes business acumen and knowledge of the function/business unit structure to influence others, directly and indirectly, to achieve results.

 

ADP HCM Core product suite provides a complete HCM solution for the client, allowing them to access HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Reporting/Analytics. HCM Core incorporates the latest technologies to present an enriched, exciting user interface, and will leverage common ADP components including ADP Portal, iSI, CMS, ACS, Workflow, Analytics, Mobile, and Data Exchange.

 

Position Requirements:

 

*7+ years in a digital creative leadership position.
*10+ years in the interactive application design space with proven success in providing leadership in methodology and deliverables for user-centered design processes.
*Demonstrated ability to successfully manage several large projects and several teams simultaneously.
*Demonstrated ability to deliver client - facing products with elegant interaction and visual design.
*Expert understanding of user-centered design principles.
*Experience designing cutting-edge and user-focused client digital experiences that can be rendered on myriad devices.
*Experience with rapid prototyping tools and diagraming software.

 

 

Specific Skills - Proficiency in utilizing technology to develop business solutions that provide value to the client. Ability to manage multiple functional areas in a matrixed organizational structure. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure. Possess strong communication skills and the ability to tailor the communication as appropriate to fit the audience. Ability to lead a diverse group of individuals to reach a common goal. Proven business maturity and demonstrated delivery of business critical projects.
